Power went off after hours on a Thursday evening, called Epcor and confirmed there was no outage. Called Alpha and was attended to within the hour. John provided a quick and thorough diagnosis of the issue I had (lost power, entire home) and provided insight into why it happened and how we could fix it. A true professional, he took the time to walk me through potential causes and what the implications would be for each. Eventually he found the cause of the outage, and luckily enough he was able to fix it. John explained to me exactly what the problem was, how he fixed it, why it happened to begin with, and the best way for me to proceed for monitoring the situation moving forward. Alpha’s phone number is now saved in the contacts in my phone, if/when I need any electrical maintenance or installation work done they will be my first call. Thank you!

John and his team completed a panel swap for me. Originally the plan was to install a 200 amp service with Epcor. Even with the insane lack of communication from the Epcor team, John made sure I was informed at every step of the process. I really appreciate his honesty and dedication to me as the client throughout the complicated process with Epcor. We arranged a time that worked for both of us and John was excellent at communicating the time and reconfirming before the meeting. He showed up at the time when we were scheduled to meet.

John was personable and very knowledgeable. He had Milo (an apprentice electrician) with him to help take care of the work around my place.

While he was in my place he was communicating what he was doing and what was going on. I was curious so it was nice to be kept in the loop.

They wrapped up in the time slot I had provided, even though they encountered a few little hick-ups along the way. They sorted out my issues and cleaned up after they were finished

Jonn and his team installed pot lights in our house. Because our house was built in 1997 they had to fish the wires through the joists and around them. I was expecting big ceiling repairs but all they did was only one small hole in the ceiling. Also the price was very competitive compare to other companies and there was no mess on the floor or any where else. They covered all furniture before they started working and they were sweeping the floor as they were cutting out holes for the pot lights. I will certainly recommend John and his team to my family and friends. Good job, we are very happy!

I had an electrician come to my house to fix an electrical issue and they were very unprofessional, very abrasive, dismissive and rude. Every time I asked a question John’s responses were very condescending. They lack credibility professionalism, and I would never hire them. I recommend there are many electricians in Edmonton competition is high and your approach. The customer service needs to be exemplary. In this case it was very poor.

We needed an electrician while renovating our basement. We reached out to Alpha Electrical to run two new circuits for the lighting and outlets. While they were on site they identified a couple of unsafe boxes where previous owners had tied in to circuits incorrectly and caused the wires to melt, charring the box. They ended up running three circuits for us to make everything safe. When the inspector came he even commented on the attention to small details that are commonly missed, like protection plates on every stud vertical and horizontal and insulation between the heat duct and wire where they crossed. Neat and clean work at the panel as well. Very happy with their work, will call them again and have recommended them to family and friends.
